1/2 cshredded carrot

1/2 cfinely chopped celery

How To Make savory cheese soup

1In a large saucepan, saute onion in butter until tender.

2Stir in the flour, salt, pepper and garlic powder until smooth.

3Gradually add milk. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened.

4Meanwhile, bring chicken broth to a boil in a small saucepan. Add carrot and celery; simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes or until vegetables are tender.

5Add to milk mixture and stir until blended. Reduce heat; add cheeses. Cook and stir until cheese is melted.
