This is one of my favorites to make on days when I don't really feel like cooking. I change it up a bit each time depending what I have in the fridge.

  • 15 oz
    cream style corn
  • 15 oz
    corn, canned or frozen
  • 1 Tbsp
    onion, minced
  • 1 1/2 c
    cooked ham, chopped
  • 2
    potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 2 stalk(s)
    celery, diced, optional
  • 1 c
    carrots, diced, optional
  • 1 c
    cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 1/2 c
  • 1 1/2 tsp
  • 1
    green onion, sliced, for garnish

How to Make Quickie Ham and Corn Chowder


  1. In a large saucepan, combine all of the ingredients.
  2. Over medium heat, cook the mixture for about 15 minutes, stirring often.
  3. Garnish with green onion and serve.
