    water

    minced clams
  • 1 c
    milk

    butter
  • pinch
    pepper

How to Make New England Home Style Clam Chowder

Step-by-Step

  1. Cook bacon, drain on paper towels and reserve drippings.
  2. Saute onion in reserved drippings until tender.
  3. Set aside.
  4. Combine potato, water, salt and pepper and cook until tender.
  5. Stir in clams, milk, butter and onion.
  6. Heat thoroughly.
  7. Sprinkle crumbled bacon over each serving.
