This is very healthy. The only red meat we eat is whatever my husband can harvest. And during hunting season, we have plenty of venison.

Ingredients For venison chili

  • 2 lb
    ground venison
  • 1
    yellow bell pepper
  • 3
    jalapeno peppers
  • 1
    big onion
  • 2 pkg
    mccormick low sodium chili seasoning
  • 1 can
    black beans (reg. size)
  • 1 can
    great northern beans
  • 1 can
    light red kidney beans
  • 1 can
    diced tomatoes (big can)
  • 1 can
    tomato sauce (reg. can)
  • 1 c
    water

How To Make venison chili

  • 1
    Saute the bell pepper, onion and jalapeno peppers in canola oil or olive oil; add venison and cook until the meat is done, not pink. Pour all the beans in a colander and wash them, and dump them in the pot - Then add everything else and let it cook covered about 30 minutes on low; then take the top off and let it simmer for about 15 minutes to thicken up.
