My mother made this all my life and I made it for my children and now for my grandchildren. Smells incredible when cooking; serve it with a salad and french bread. I like it best the 2nd day after it is made.

Ingredients

  •   2 lb
    beef stew meat
  •   2 large
    chopped onions
  •   1/2 bunch
    celery (chopped; use leafy tops too!)
  •   6 large
    sliced carrots
  •   1 can(s)
    green beans (14.5 oz)
  •   1 can(s)
    corn (14.5 oz)
  •   1 can(s)
    diced or stewed tomatoes (about 28 oz)

How To Make

    Fill pot with stew meat and water (so that it reaches 1/2 way up the sides). Bring to a boil, then cover, simmer for 1 hour, 15 min.

    Add onions and celery. Bring to boil, then cover, simmer 30 minutes.
