just wanted to share this recipe for the crockpot serve with low sodium saltines,or bread

9 1 1/2 cup servings prep and cook are for crockpot
Method:
Slow Cooker Crock Pot

Ingredients

  • 2 c
    potatos peeled,chopped
  • 2 c
    sweet potatoes,chopped
  • 2 c
    carrots,sliced
  • 2 c
    fresh kale, chopped and packed in measuring cup
  • 1 c
    celery
  • 1 c
    onion
  • 1 c
    parsley,fresh
  • 3/4 c
    lentils
  • 3/4 c
    red lentils
  • 1/4 c
    olive oil
  • 4 c
    chicken broth
  • 1-2 clove
    garlic,chopped
  • 1-2 tsp
    chicken base
  • ·
    salt and pepper to taste optional
  • 9
    kielbasa links(1-1 1/2lbs)browned,sliced

How to Make lentil soup

Step-by-Step

  1. place all ingredients in crockpot cook on low for 10-12 hours or on high for 4-5 hours , until vegetables and lentils are tender
  2. each bowl can be served with kielbasa on top
  3. Vegetarian option: substitute vegetable broth and base omit kielbasa serving size 1 1/2 cups servings about 9
