We love lentils at our house and eat them regularly. They are nutritious, and this dish is comfort food any time of year. I usually add Italian seasoning. However, for lunch today, I decided to mix it up, and I created a new and delicious lentil soup that my husband and I loved. The combination of ingredients I used meshed perfectly together and upped the flavors. I will be making this many times over.

Blue Ribbon Recipe

This lentil soup is surprisingly delicious. The lentils are tender once cooked. The soup has a subtle sweetness with a hint of cinnamon that enhances other flavors. Onions, celery, and carrots add freshness and texture. The final product is a thick and tasty bowl of soup. Serve with crusty bread for a comforting meal.
