This is an easy dip that comes together in no time at all. It can even be made a few hours ahead (minus the toppings) and refrigerated before your party guests arrive.

lean bacon
16 oz
can refried beans plain
1 1/2 c
sour cream
1/2 tsp
taco seasoning mix
3/4 c
shredded cheddar cheese
3/4 c
guacamole (frozen or prepared is fine)
1/3 c
diced tomatoes (about 1 romano tomato)
1 Tbsp
fresh cilantro chopped finely
2 Tbsp
sliced black olives
2 Tbsp
finely sliced green onions
1/4 c
pickled jalapeƱos (optional)

How to Make T.G.I. Friday's 9 Layer Dip


  • 1Fry diced bacon until crisp, add refried beans and cook slowly.

    Stir frequently until the bacon and bacon drippings are mixed through about 15 minutes, remove from heat.
  • 2Mix taco seasoning with sour cream and set aside.
  • 3Place ingredients in this order: Place refried beans on serving platter or bowl, spread out to 1 - 1 1/2 inches thick. diced tomatoes, guacamole, prepared sour cream, shredded cheese, diced cilantro, black olives, pickled jalapeƱos, sliced green onion. cheese for garnish
  • 4Serve with chips.
