This is my step-son's favorite snack mix. Fair warning, once you start munching on this, it's going to be hard to stop!

Ingredients For dallas' chex mix

  • 3 c
    corn chex cereal
  • 3 c
    rice chex cereal
  • 3 c
    wheat chex cereal
  • 2 c
    cashews
  • 2 c
    pretzels
  • 2 c
    cheez-it crackers or goldfish
  • 1 1/2 stick
    salted butter, (12 tablespoons)
  • 4 Tbsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tbsp
    seasoned salt (lawry's)
  • 3/4 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    onion powder

How To Make dallas' chex mix

  • Ingredients for snack mix.

    Gather ingredients. Preheat oven to 250 degrees F. Line 2 rimmed baking sheets with aluminum foil (foil is optional, but makes for easier clean-up;) set aside.
  • Chex mix in extra large bowl.

    To an extra large bowl, add cereals, cashews, pretzels and crackers; toss to combine. Set aside.
  • Melted butter in measuring cup with seasonings to be added.

    In a saucepan over medium heat, or in microwave, melt 1 1/2 sticks butter.
  • Adding seasonings to melted butter in measuring cup.

    To the butter, add worcestershire sauce, seasoned salt, garlic powder and onion powder; stir until well combined.
  • Dallas adding seasoned butter mixture to chex mix.

    Drizzle butter mixture over cereal mixture, using a large spoon to toss cereal to coat evenly.
  • Chex mix on sheetpans in oven.

    Spread mixture evenly on prepared sheetpans. Bake at 250 degrees F for one hour total, stirring and alternating positions, every 15 minutes.
  • Chex mix cooling on paper towels.

    Allow to cool before storing in airtight container. To hasten cooling, you may spread it on paper towels on the counter, if desired.
