Want to get your kids to eat asparagus? Try this recipe! You may even fool them into thinking they're green beans. The asparagus is fresh and cooked perfectly. We loved the crispy and crunchy coating. This is a seriously tasty side dish.

Ingredients For fried asparagus spears

  • 1 bunch
    fresh asparagus spears
  • 2
    eggs, beaten
  • 1 c
    Corn Flakes cereal, crushed fine
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/8 tsp
    black pepper
  • oil to fry in

How To Make fried asparagus spears

  • Heating oil in a skillet.

    Heat oil until hot enough to fry in.
  • Whisking together egg, salt, and pepper.

    Mix beaten egg, salt, and pepper.
  • Dipping asparagus into the egg.

    Dip asparagus spears, one at a time, into the egg mixture.
  • Dipping the asparagus in Corn Flakes.

    Then roll in Corn Flake crumbles.
  • Frying asparagus spears.

    Drop into fat and fry until golden brown.
  • Draining asparagus on a paper towel.

    Remove from oil and place on a paper towel to drain. Serve while hot.
