Cauliflower steaks are a simple tasty side that requires a minimal amount of work. Adjust the seasoning to your personal taste. You will be bowled over at how well cauliflower can taste.

Ingredients For cauliflower steaks

  • 1
    head of cauliflower (about 3 lbs)
  • 1/4 c
    olive oil
  • 2 clove
    minced garlic
  • 1 tsp
    dried parsley
  • 1/2 tsp
    paprika
  • 1/4 tsp
    onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp
    crushed red pepper
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    fresh ground black pepper

How To Make cauliflower steaks

    In small bowl whisk together the olive oil, garlic, parsley, paprika, onion powder, crushed red pepper, salt and black pepper.

    Remove the leaves and trim the stem end of the cauliflower. Leave the core intact. Place the cauliflower stem side down on a sturdy cutting board. Cut 1/2 inch wide sections.

    Brush both sides of the steak with the olive oil mixture and place on a well seasoned baking sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 20-25 minutes flipping the steaks halfway through the baking process.

    NOTES These steaks are easy to cook on the grill. About 5 minutes per side over medium heat (about 350 degrees). If grilling the steaks cut them 3/4 inch thick.
