Ingredients For autumn smokey apple & cheddar salad.

  • 2 slice
    canadien bacon, cut into 1"-pieces
  • 4 oz
    reduced-fat, chunky cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 c
    olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp
    white vinegar
  • 1 tsp
    freeze-dried dill
  • 2 Tbsp
    finely chopped red onion
  • 1 tsp
    sugar
  • 1/4 tsp
    each of salt & pepper
  • 8 c
    organic mixed lettuce, such as olivia's
  • 1 lg
    gala apple, cored, cut into 1/2"-wedges.

How To Make autumn smokey apple & cheddar salad.

    In lg skillet, over med-high heat, Cook bacon until crisp, drain on paper towels. Cut cheddar cheese into small chunks. In lg bowl, whisk together oil, vinegar, dill, onion, sugar, salt and pepper. Add lettuce mix, apple and bacon. Toss gently to coat. Sprinkle w/ cheddar cheese.
