My mom love love love these. She has food allergies and has always been afraid to try Indian food until I made this recipe for her. It's Indian inspired without the coriander (she's allergic). It was a huge win with her.

Ingredients For curry fries

  • 6 lg
    potatoes (i use yukon or white)
  • 2 c
    cooking oil
  • 1
    sautee pan or deep fryer
  • 2 Tbsp
    yellow curry powder
  • 2 Tbsp
    tumeric
  • 2 Tbsp
    sea salt
  • 1 Tbsp
    black pepper
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp
    garlic powder
  • 1 Tbsp
    paprika
  • 2 tsp
    chili powder

How To Make curry fries

  • 1
    Peel your potatoes and place them in a bowl of cool water. Add your oil to the pan and heat with a med-high temperature (350 degrees for a fryer).

    Cut your potatoes to steak size fries. rinse and drain.
  • 3
    In a bowl add the fries and all of the dry ingredients. Toss until everything is evenly covered.

    When the oil is hot add the fries and fry until tender (you may have more than one batch). Drain and sprinkle with a little sea salt (optional). Serve.
