This recipe is definitely NOT for dieters! HAHA! I promise you will get more than your share of compliments for the dish however! Two things I am asked to make for every get-together we attend (including family and friends) are my potato salad and my baked beans! I don't know how but the word does seem to get around! We all have those sought after dishes and this is definitely one of mine! I had better warn you though: It is sweet but OH SO delish! Make it and then sit back and bask in the compliments!

Ingredients

  • 4 can(s)
    pork 'n beans
  • 3/4 c
    corn syrup, light
  • 1 c
    brown sugar
  • 6
    green onions, chopped
  • 1 tsp
    dry mustard
  • 1/4 c
    bbq sauce (smoky mesquite)
  • 4 slice
    bacon, raw
  • 1/4
    red onion, chopped

How to Make Marilyn's Begged For Baked Beans

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix all ingredients but bacon well and pour into baking dish.
  2. Place bacon slices on top.
  3. Bake at 425 for 40 minutes or until bacon is done and beans are boiling.
