Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c
    uncooked rice
  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • 1 lb
    chicken livers, chopped
  • 1/2 lb
    butter
  • 1 c
    chopped onion
  • 1/2 c
    chopped, red and green bell pepper
  • 1 clove
    garlic ,crushed
  • 1/2 c
    chopped celery
  • ·
    6 to 8 green onions with tops, chopped
  • ·
    salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp
    accent
  • ·
    dash of tabasco
  • ·
    pinch of thyme
  • ·
    pinch of basil
  • 1 Tbsp
    chopped parsley
  • ·
    chicken stock

How to Make DIRTY RICE

Step-by-Step

  1. COOK RICE, SAUTE BEEF AND LIVERS IN HALF OF THE BUTTER
  2. IN ANOTHER SKILLET, SAUTE ONIONS,GREEN PEPPER,GARLIC, CELERY,AND GREEN ONIONS IN REMAINING HALF OF THE BUTTER
  3. COMBINE RICE AND BOTH SAUTEED MIXTURES.ADD SEASONINGS AND PARSLEY.NOW ADD CHICKEN STOCK IF NEEDED .UNTIL MOISTER CONTENT SEEMS CORRECT..YOU DON'T WONT DRY DIRTY RICE !
