Many people prefer to serve this dish cold with milk or cream. When cold it can be sliced.

Ingredients

1 qt
grated raw sweet potatoes
1
egg
3 Tbsp
butter, melted
1 c
milk
1 tsp
cinnamon
3/4 c
cane syrup
1/2 c
all purpose flour
1/2 tsp
nutmeg
3/4 tsp
salt

Step-By-Step

1Sift together dry ingredients.
Combine these with remaining ingredients.
Put mixture into a baking dish and bake in a slow oven (275 F) for about 2 1/2 hours or until done, stirring occasionally during the first half of cooking.
2During the last 30 minutes, discontinue stirring and allow pone to brown.
