Scalloped Potatoes with Gruyere
3 clovegarlic minced
2 lbyellow potatoes peeled
2 chalf and half
1 Tbspfresh thyme minced
·salt and pepper
1/4 tspnutmeg grated
1 cgrated gruyere cheese
How to Make Scalloped Potatoes with Gruyere
- Preheat oven 350 degrees. Rub 1 tbsp. butter inside an 8 x 8 baking dish.
- With a mandoline slice the potatoes to about 1/8 inch thick. Add the remaining butter and half and half into a saucepan. Add the thyme, salt , pepper, and nutmeg. Bring to a boil and add the potatoes and cook 1 minute. Pour into the baking dish.
- Bake about 30 minutes until the potatoes are fork tender. Top with the cheese and bake another 10 minutes.
