My grandmother used to make this when I was a little girl when my siblings and I would spend the weekend. We loved it! Grandma is 100-years-old now and is unable to cook anymore, so it is my pleasure and honor to cook this and her other favorites for her when I visit!
This is a great barbecue side dish, as it can be made a day or two ahead of time, so you have more free time while barbecuing. In fact, it is better to chill the potato mixture overnight or all day.

Cheese and potatoes! This wonderful recipe amplifies that great flavor combo into a stellar presentation. Terrific with steak or pork... or, well, anything! Test Kitchen Avatar The Test Kitchen
