I like turkey meatloaf but I like better when you make it like a shepards pie. Just the combination of it all cooking together gives it such a unique taste. Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ingredients For chili meatloaf and potato bake

  • 1 1/2 lb
    ground turkey
  • 3/4 c
    salsa, chunky
  • 1 Tbsp
    chili powder
  • 1 lg
    egg,beaten
  • 1 1/3 c
    french fried onions, divided
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    black pepper
  • 2 c
    hot mashed potatoes
  • 8 oz
    shrreded taco blend cheese,divided

How To Make chili meatloaf and potato bake

    Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Combine ground turkey, salsa, chili powder, egg, 2/3 cup of french fried onions, salt and pepper until blended. Press turkey mixture into 9 inch square baking dish. Bake 25 minutes or until turkey is cooked through and juices run clear.Drain off fat. Combine potatoes and 1 cup of cheese. Spread evenly over meatloaf. Sprinkle with remaining cheese and onions; bake 5 minutes or until cheese is melted and onions are golden.
