I love Greek food and love to BBQ whenever possible. So when we do lamb on the grill, I love to add this as a side dish.

Ingredients

  • 3 lb
    russet potatoes
  • 1 can(s)
    Budweiser
  • 3-5 Tbsp
    evoo (extra virgin olive oil)
  • 1 tsp
    thyme, dried
  • 1 tsp
    rosemary, dried
  • 1 tsp
    oregano, dried
  • 1 tsp
    grill seasonings (your choice)
  • 2 Tbsp
    lemon juice (fresh is better)

How to Make Cassie's Greek Fries on the Grill

Test Kitchen Tips
Since these potatoes were already cooked, we only needed to grill them for 20 minutes turning them halfway through. But cook to your preference.

Step-by-Step

  1. Start by peeling and cutting the potatoes into wedges. Place them in a large cooking pot with the can of beer and enough water to cover the taters. Boil the taters for 10-15 min.
  2. In a large mixing bowl (the bigger the better), add the EVOO and all the herbs and seasonings, as well as the lemon juice. Mix well. Then take just a few of the wedges at a time and dredge them in the EVOO mix. Placing them on a foil-covered cooking sheet. Once all are done it's time to grill.
  3. Because they are pre-cooked, we really just want some grill marks and to make sure they get crispy. When they are done and still hot I like to put Feta cheese on mine and my hubby's (kids don't like Feta).
