This is a very delicious side dish and I like to change it up with various meat. Sometimes I use chopped ham or chicken instead and shredded cheese on top. But, it's just as delicious as without the cheese.

Your family is going to love this tater tot bake. We did in the Test Kitchen! The crispy bacon is smoky and delicious. There are notes of garlic flavor and yummy bits of onion throughout. We added cheese to the top and it was soooo good. But, you could leave the cheese out and it would still be a delicious casserole.
