You can add grilled chicken, baked tofu, shrimp, etc. to make into a main dish. Otherwise it makes a delicious side dish or just eat the noodles as your main. You can play with this however you like!

Ingredients For sesame soba

  • 1 pkg
    (8 oz) soba noodles (you can use japanese or korean soba)
  • 1 Tbsp
    peanut oil
  • 2-3 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp
    fresh, minced ginger
  • 1 Tbsp
    dark sesame oil
  • 1 Tbsp
    rice wine vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp
    soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp
    chicken broth
  • 1 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 4
    green onions, sliced
  • 2 Tbsp
    toasted sesame seeds
  • fresh, chopped cilantro (optional)

How To Make sesame soba

  • 1
    Mix together soy sauce, sesame oil, rice wine vinegar, sugar and chicken broth together, set aside.

    Prepare soba noodles according to package directions. Rinse and set aside.

    Heat peanut oil in the bottom of wok or deep skillet over medium high heat.

    Add garlic and ginger, stir fry for a few seconds until fragrant. Careful not to burn garlic.

    Add noodles. soy sauce mixture to wok. Toss until heated through and well combined.

    Toss in green onions and toasted sesame. Continue to toss with noodles until well combined.

    Plate and Garnish with fresh, chopped cilantro if desired.
