  • 2 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 1/2 c
    chopped onions
  • 2
    garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 can(s)
    (28 ounces) diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 2 Tbsp
    chopped parsley
  • 1 tsp
  • 2 tsp
    basil, dried
  • 1/2 tsp
    oregano, dried
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1/4 tsp
  • 6 oz
    trio italiano pasta
  • 1 c
    mozzarella cheese, shredded

How to Make Italiano Marinara


  1. In 2 quart saucepan heat oil and cook onion and garlic until tender, but not brown.
  2. Stir in tomatoes with liquid, parsley, sugar, basil, oregano, salt and pepper; heat to boiling, then reduce heat and simmer, stirring to break up tomatoes, 15 to 20 minutes.,
  3. Prepare pasta; drain. Toss cooked pasta with sauce and place in. 2 quart casserole.
  4. Top with mozzarella cheese and bake at 350 degrees for 5 to 10 minutes or until cheese is melted.
