This is our family's favorite way to make baked beans. They are super delicious and we get many a compliment on them. Made them for our son's wedding and people were telling us they were the best they ever had. I hope you will try them.

Ingredients For ramsey family beans

  • 1 lb
    bacon, cooked and save the drippings
  • 2 lg
    cans of great northern beans
  • 1 c
    white sugar
  • 1 c
    brown sugar
  • 1 md
    onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    pepper, you can adjust to your taste we like lots of pepper
  • 1 tsp
    dry mustard

How To Make ramsey family beans

    Cook up your bacon, when done save the drippings and put the bacon on a paper towel. When cool chop up in small pieces. While cooling chop up your onion.

    In a large roast pan add your beans, the sugars, onion, bacon, all the drippings, salt, pepper and dry mustard.

    Bake at $350° for 1 hour or until light brown on top.

    Note: We love lots of pepper so if you aren't a pepper fan add less if you are add until your hearts content. Happy Cooking!
