Just in time for the 4th of July! I finally got my Mom (Jeanie) to give me her recipe for baked beans. This is a picture of them from a few years ago when she made them for our cookout up at their camp in Cook's Forest, PA. They were so good and I'm glad I took some foodie pics because it reminded me I needed the recipe. Well, they may be simple but they are also hearty enough to make a meal out of them if you wanted to. My mother and/or father usually cook everything in this pan. It's like a crockpot/frying pan in one. These beans will cook up well in either one.
