There are many variations of baked beans. I like this one that has a little bit of a bite from the jalapeno and love the smokey flavor.

Ingredients For cowboy baked beans

  • 30 oz
    pork and beans (2 cans)
  • 1 c
    ketchup
  • 1/4 c
    brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tbsp
    prepared mustard
  • 1/2 c
    onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp
    jalapeno nacho rings, finely chopped
  • 3 dash
    liquid smoke, optional (about 3 drops)
  • 3 slice
    bacon, raw

How To Make cowboy baked beans

    Preheat oven to 350F.
  • 2
    Mix all ingredients together except for bacon. Pour into a two-quart casserole.

    Top with bacon.

    Bake for approximately one hour.
  • 5
    Remove bacon and stir before serving.
  • 6
    NOTE: I usually just chop up the bacon and add it to the other ingredients before baking.
