BAKED BEANS (Bonnie's)

Bonnie ^O^ .

Who doesn't like perfect baked beans! This simple old-time recipe captures the delicious old-fashioned flavor the way baked beans are supposed to taste. When I bring them to a potluck, it is almost embarassing the way they rave over them! This is one of my most prized recipes, and now you can make them, too!

  • 1
15 ounce can of campbell's pork & beans
  • 3/4
    cup dark brown sugar
  • 1
    teaspoon dry mustard
  • 6
slices bacon, cut into small pieces
  • 1/2
    cup ketchup
  • 1
    tablespoon bacon drippings

How to Make BAKED BEANS (Bonnie's)

  1. Partially cook bacon, do not brown. Mix all ingredients together, beans, sugar, dry mustard, bacon with drippings and the ketchup into a greased casserole dish.
  2. Bake uncovered in a 325 degree oven for 2 1/2 hours. They magically become the best baked beans you could ever want! Enjoy!
  3. Cook's Tip: If you are at high altitude, watch your beans. Very high altitude usually doesn't take as long to bake. This recipe can be doubled and tripled for large groups.
