I've been making this mix for a while now. It's super easy to make, stores well, and tastes just like what I used to buy.

Ingredients For onion soup mix

  • 3/4 c
    instant minced onion
  • 1/3 c
    beef flavored instant bouillon
  • 4 tsp
    onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp
    celery seed, crushed
  • 1/4 tsp
    sugar

How To Make onion soup mix

  • 1
    Mix all ingredients together well.
  • 2
    Store in a covered container up to 6 months in a cool, dry place.

    Stir before each use.

    Recipe makes about the equivalent of 5 envelopes of purchased mix. Five tablespoons of the mix equals one 1.25-oz. pkg. of purchased dry onion soup mix.
