How To Make all natural peanut butter in 5 minutes & under $3

  • 1
Add peanuts to bowl of food processor. Process for a minute or two until crumbly. (Blender not recommended.)

Add peanut (or vegetable) oil and honey. Process for a few more minutes. Taste for sweetness and salt. Continue to process until smooth. If it seems dry, you can add a few more drops of oil and process. I found 3 TB. was just right for us. (The original recipe called for 4 TB.) Refrigerate. It may seem a little loose, but the honey thickens it in refrigerator.

It has the same taste and texture as my favorite brand of "all natural" peanut butter. Next, I'm going to try making flavored peanut butters like the expensive, all natural specialty brands like chocolate, white chocolate, "Bee's Knees", etc. I'm assuming by melting white chocolate, omitting the honey and adding it in the food processor you would get the same result. If you prefer a stronger honey taste, just increase the honey. Very economical, as well. A large jar cost me only $2.88 to make compared with $5-$6.00 that I've been paying for the "all natural" specialty brands. I also thought that the oil would separate like store-bought. But after 2 days, it's still beautiful and creamy. No stirring required. I'm hooked. I won't be buying peanut butter anymore now that I can make my own for half the price in about 5 minutes!
