Root Beer Sorghum Molasses Glaze

Two of my favorite flavors joined together with pure simplicity. This glaze can be used as a marinade or brushed on as a grilling glaze for chicken, pork, or beef. An added bonus is that it will keep stored in the refrigerator for 1 month.

    (12-ounces each) a & w root beer
  • 1 1/3 c
    sorghum molasses

How to Make Root Beer Sorghum Molasses Glaze


  1. Combine the root beer and molasses in a heavy saucepan and bring to a boil.
  2. Reduce heat to medium and simmer for about 20 minutes, or until the mixture is reduced by about one third.
  3. Store in a mason jar, in the refrigerator for up to 1 month.
  4. Use as a marinade or glaze for chicken, pork, or beef
