This is a recipe I mixed up one summer day and enjoyed it very much. It is in a small herbal cookbook that I published a long time ago.

It is a simple but very flavorful dressing and is even better for you if you grow your own organic herbs. Hope you enjoy ;)

Ingredients

  • 1/3 c
    finely minced fresh basil (opal, lime, lemon, sweet, cinnamon or any other basil)
  • 3/4 c
    extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 c
    red wine vinegar
  • 2 tsp
    lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp
    water
  • 2 clove
    garlic, finely minced
  • 1 tsp
    sea salt, fresh ground
  • 1 tsp
    black pepper, fresh ground

How to Make Choose Your Basil Dressing

Step-by-Step

  1. Combine all ingredients in a quart mason jar and shake well. Cover and chill for at least 1 hour. Serve over salads, vegetables or mix with fresh cooked pasta. Enjoy ;)
