Ingredients For olive spaghetti sauce, crock pot style

  • 1 lb
    lean ground beef
  • 1/2 lb
    bulk italian sausage
  • 1 can
    1 lb 12 oz, tomatoes, cut up
  • 2 can
    6 oz ea, tomato paste
  • 1 can
    6 oz, sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 1/2 c
    burgundy wine
  • 1 lg
    onion, chopped
  • 1 lg
    green pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 c
    sliced, pimiento-stuffed green olives
  • 3
    bay leaves
  • 2 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp
    sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    chile powder
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/8 tsp
    pepper
  • 1/2 c
    plus 2 tablespoons, cold water, divided
  • 2 Tbsp
    cornstarch
  • hot cooked spaghetti
  • grated parmesan cheese

How To Make olive spaghetti sauce, crock pot style

    In a skillet, brown ground beef and sausage; drain off fat. Transfer meat to crock pot cooker
  • 2
    Add undrained tomatoes, tomato paste, mushrooms, Burgundy, and 1/2 cup water. Stir in onions, green pepper, olives, bay leaves, garlic, Worcestershire, chili powder, salt and pepper.

    Cover and cook on low heat setting for 10 to 12 hours.

    To serve, turn to high heat setting. Heat until bubbly. Blend 2 Tablespoons cold water and cornstarch; stir into meat mixture. Cover; cook 10 minutes longer. Serve over spaghetti
