Ingredients For cuban citrus garlic sauce

  • 1/2 c
    olive oil, extra virgin
  • 8 clove
    large garlic, sliced thinly
  • 1/2 c
    fresh lime juice
  • 3 Tbsp
    fresh grapefruit juice
  • 1/3 c
    water
  • 1 tsp
    ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp
    ground oregano
  • 1 tsp
    salt, or to taste
  • 1/2 tsp
    black pepper
  • 3 Tbsp
    chopped fresh cilantro or flat-leaf parsley

How To Make cuban citrus garlic sauce

  • 1
    Heat oil in medium sized saucepan over medium heat. Add garlic and cook until fragrant and golden. Do not overcook garlic will become bitter.

    Stir in juice, water, cumin, oregano, and salt and pepper.

    Bring to a full boil. Check for seasoning and let cool until reaches room temperature.

    Store in refrigerator tightly closed.
