tartar sauce (my own recipe)

This is a simple and quick recipe for a basic tartar sauce. Some prefer dill relish while others like sweet. I use dill but use what you like. Very versatile on most any seafood and also as a sandwich spread!

Ingredients For tartar sauce (my own recipe)

  • 1 c
    mayonnaise
  • 1 Tbsp
    dill relish (could use sweet if preferred)
  • 1 Tbsp
    fine minced green onion - use some of the green tops too
  • 1 tsp
    lemon juice
  • 1 tsp
    prepared horseradish - add more if desired
  • 1/2 tsp
    dried dill weed
  • Small dash
    worcestershire sauce ( a few drops)

How To Make tartar sauce (my own recipe)

    Mince onion very fine. Be sure and add some of the green tops...mince it well. Mix all ingredients together in a bowl. Make sure it's thoroughly blended.

    Store in a bowl or bottle with a tight fitting cap or lid. Refrigerate. Best if it sits in the fridge overnight or at least 6 to 8 hrs. Great with most any kind of seafood!
