How to Make Arrabiata Sauce

  1. Heat olive oil in a saucepan over low to medium heat. Add crushed red pepper flakes and saute for about a minute and a half, then add chopped onions and saute until softened and translucent. Add minced garlic and saute until fragrant.

Continue to cook the sauce and turn the flame to medium and cook for the next 15 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Cook until the sauce thickens up and attain your desired consistency.
  3. Mix in fresh herbs (parsley or basil), salt, and crushed black pepper. Combine everything properly and taste the arrabbiata sauce and season with salt or pepper as per your preference.
  4. Serve the spicy sauce immediately or let the sauce cool and then refrigerate it in an airtight container.
