oriental-style marinade

We love this marinade. I created it when I was craving something different for salmon. The recipe, as listed, is enough to marinate four or five large salmon portions, chicken breasts or pork chops.

Ingredients For oriental-style marinade

1/4 cagave syrup, maple syrup or corn syrup

4 tspsoy sauce

1 tspchinese five spice powder

8 dropsliquid smoke flavoring

1/4 tspoyster sauce

1/2 Tbspfinely minced crystallized ginger

1 tspfresh garlic, finely minced or pressed

1/4 tspsesame oil

1 Tbspvegetable oil
-
1/2 Tbspsesame seeds (optional)
How To Make oriental-style marinade

1Mix all ingredients together in gallon size zipper food bag.

2Add chicken, salmon, pork etc...

3Zip bag closed; shake to coat meat thoroughly.

4Let meat marinate for minimum of 15 minutes before cooking (up to overnight for pork, beef and venison, refrigerated.)

5Leftover marinade may be used as a sauce ONLY when heated to boiling (to destroy any possible bacterial contamination from raw meat) or poured over the meat before baking.

6Recipe may be multiplied.
