To me, peanut butter has always been an interesting ingredient to work with. Sometimes, when the fit comes upon me, I will slather a piece of toast with butter, then top with peanut butter… Yummy. However, I cannot abide things cooked with peanut butter. Cookies, cakes, pies, and other things baked with peanut butter will never pass my lips. But, peanut butter sauces… Now, that is where I can get onboard. So, you ready… Let’s get into the kitchen.

Ingredients For dip essentials: peanut sauce

  • 1/2 c
    peanut butter, creamy style
  • 2 Tbsp
    tamari, or liquid aminos
  • 1 Tbsp
    rice vinegar, non-flavored
  • 1 Tbsp
    coconut sugar
  • 1 Tbsp
    lime juice, freshly squeezed
  • 2 tsp
    sriracha, or more for a hotter sauce
  • 1 tsp
    ginger powder
  • 1 clove
    garlic, finely minced
  • ADDITIONAL ITEMS
  • filtered water, for thinning the sauce

    A bowl, a whisk, and a good storage container are about all you need to make this yummy recipe.

    No tamari sauce or liquid aminos… Sub some soy sauce, low sodium. No rice vinegar… Sub distilled white vinegar. No coconut sugar… Sub brown sugar, honey, or maple syrup. No Siracha… Sub with chili sauce. No ginger powder… Sub fresh ginger but double the amount.
