I wanted something a little different from my usual tuna salad recipe, so I played with the spices a bit and came up with this delicious version. The dill weed really makes it pop! Pecans and celery give it a nice crunchy texture.

Ingredients

  • 2 can(s)
    (small or 1 large) white albacore tuna
  • 1/2 c
    hellman's real mayonnaisse, lite
  • 1/3 c
    chopped celery
  • 1/4 tsp
    real lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp
    minced onion
  • 1/4 tsp
    dill weed
  • 1/8 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1-2 Tbsp
    finely chopped pecans

How to Make ELLEN'S NEW AND IMPROVED TUNA SALAD

Step-by-Step

  1. Drain the tuna and flake it into a medium bowl. Add the mayo and blend thoroughly.
  2. Add celery and spices and mix until completely blended. Fold in pecans.
  3. Refrigerate for at least 1/2 hour and serve. I like to serve sweet gherkins on the side.
