This salad is crunchy and delicious. You can make it ahead of time and is great for taking to a picnic or carry in.

Ingredients For sesame napa pasta salad

  • 1 md
    head napa cabbage
  • 1 lb
    spaghetti, cooked
  • 4-6
    green onions, thin sliced
  • TOPPING
  • 2 pkg
    ramen noodles, broken into small pieces
  • 1 c
    sliced almonds
  • DRESSING
  • 1/4 c
    cider vinegar
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 c
    vegetable oil
  • 1/2 tsp
    sesame oil
  • 2 Tbsp
    tamari or soy sauce
  • salt and pepper to taste

How To Make sesame napa pasta salad

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix together the ramen and slivered almonds. Place on baking sheet. Bake in preheated oven until slightly browned - about 10 minutes. Check frequently to prevent burning. Set aside to cool.

    Cook pasta according to package directions. Cool and place in large bowl

    Add thin sliced green onions and shredded Napa cabbage to pasta.

    Dressing

    Mix together tamari, vegetable oil, sugar, vinegar and sesame oil and salt and pepper.

    Add about half to pasta and Napa mixture. Mix well. taste and add more dressing if needed. You want the salad coated but not drowned in dressing.

    Serve almonds and ramen on the side. Or, add just before serving (to prevent ramen from getting soggy).
