I love Italian tomato salads, This is another one that is flavorful, easy and inexpensive.

I just had surgery a week ago, and didn't feel like cooking for the church picnic, so I threw this together... my GO TO recipe for times like this...

It was enjoyed by all.... and some of the young people asked how I made it...

Ingredients

  • 3 pt
    grape tomatoes
  • 1/2 lb
    mozzarella cheese, cut into about 1/2 inch pieces
  • 30
    basil leaves (optional)
  • 1/2 bottle
    italian salad dressing

How to Make Tomatoes and Cheese Salad

Step-by-Step

  1. Wash the tomatoes and put in a salad bowl.
  2. Cut the cheese and put in the salad bowl.

    Optional: add basil leaves whole or chopped.
  3. Stir together gently to distribute cheese (and optional basil).

    Pour Italian dressing over the top.

    Give a gentle stir before serving.
