Balela is on a middle-eastern style salad. This is not only healthy, but a wonderful change for a salad. You can even serve it in a wrap with chicken or fish.... or just eat it plain or as a side dish... My family loves it.. healthy and enjoy. Marti

  •   2 - 15oz can(s)
    chick peas
  •   1-15oz can(s)
    black beans
  •   1-15oz can(s)
    tomatoes, canned italian-style and diced
  •   1/2
    chopped onion
  •   1/4 c
    minced fresh mint
  •   1/4 c
    minced fresh parsley
  •   1/4 c
    olive oil, extra virgin
  •   1/2 c
    cider vinegar
  •   1 clove
    minced garlic
  •   1 tsp
    lemon zest, grated
    salt and pepper to taste

    Drain liquid from Chickpeas and black beans and pour into a bowl, then mix gently the rest of the ingredients together. Chill and serve...
