My grandma served this every Christmas eve dinner, and it's one of our favorites. Very refreshing!

Ingredients

  • 3 c
    hot water
  • 3 pkg
    (regular size) raspberry jello
  • 2 c
    applesauce
  • 2 pkg
    frozen raspberries in syrup - thawed
  • 3 c
    marshmallows, mini
  • 1 c
    sour cream
  • 1 c
    whipped topping, thawed

How to Make Grandma Gilbert's Raspberry Salad

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix hot water and pkgs of jello (1 at a time) In 9x13 pan
  2. Add apple sauce and raspberries and mix well. Place in fridge overnite. Before bed, mix together sour cream and marshmallows and cover with plastic wrap and leave ON COUNTER overnite.
  3. Next morning, mix marshmallows and sour cream with mixer til creamy. Mix in 1 cup whip cream and spread on top of jello. cut into squares and serve each on iceberg lettuce leaf.
