When I was in High School (late 70's) this was a very popular recipe. We made it a lot in my house. Several years back my friend would bring this to get together's and it would bring back so many memories. I found a recipe that fits it.

    ground beef
  • 1 pkg
    taco seasoning mix
  • 2
    bags romaine lettuce
  • 4
    ripe tomatoes
  • 1 medium
    bottle of catalina dressing
  • 1 lb
    shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1
    bag nacho cheese doritos
  • 2 can(s)
    kidney beans, canned, drained
  • 1 can(s)
    garbonzo beans, drained
  • 1 small
    red onion, chopped

How to Make Rader Taco Salad


  1. Brown beef, drain. Add contents of taco seasoning with 1 cup water. Simmer 10 minutes. Let ground beef cool. Chop tomato in bite size pieces. Crush taco chips, mix all ingredients and mix together. Add salad dressing right before serving.
