  • 4
    stalks of celery, trimmed and cut into half crosswise
  • 2 Tbsp
    cider, apple,raspberry or other fruit vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp
  • 1/4 tsp
  • 2
    green apples, diced
  • 1 c
    finely diced white cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 c
    chopped pecans, toasted
  • 6
    lettuce/or butter head

How to Make Crunchy Green Apple and Celery Salad


  1. Soak celery in a bowl of ice water for 15 minutes. Drain and pat dry. Cut into 1/2-inch pieces.
  2. Whisk vinegar, honey and salt in a large bowl until blended. Add apples; gently stir to coat. Add celery, cheese and pecans; stir to combine. Season lettuce with pepper. Divide the lettuce leaves among the six plates and top with a portion of salad.
  3. Serve at room temp or chilled.
