INGREDIENTS
1 (2 1/2-3 lb) beef roast, cut to fit pot or crock pot (chuck, shoulder or round
salt and pepper , to taste
1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
1 teaspoon basil crushed
5-6 new potatoes or 2 medium sweet potatoes
1/2 bag baby carrots
1 onion, cut into wedges
2 celery stalks, bias-cut in 1-inch pieces (I didn’t have any)
1/4 cup flour
1/2 cup red wine or 1/2 cup beef broth
1/2 cup water
