Making your own laundry detergent is so easy ! You won't believe how well it cleans and how little it costs to make. A little goes a long way. You only use 1-2 tbsp per load ! I found everything I needed to make this at Walmart in the laundry soap isle.

Ingredients

  • 2 c
    borax ( i use 20 mule team)
  • 2 c
    super washing soda ( i use arm & hammer)
  • 1/2 c
    baking soda
  • 2
    bars laundry soap ( fels naptha, zote, or octagon )

How to Make Laundry Detergent, Millie's

Step-by-Step

  1. In large bowl add all the powdered ingredients and mix.
  2. Grate the two bars of laundry soap.
  3. Add grated soap to the powder mix and combine. You can transfer to a container and use it as is or you can whiz it in your food processor to make it a finer texture... I like to give mine a whiz.
  4. USE 1 - 2 TABLESPOONS PER LOAD !
    *DO NOT BE ALARMED BECAUSE THERE ARE NO SUDS... PRODUCT WILL CLEAN YOUR CLOTHES.
