When I was young, they didn't have convenient things like PAM and Bakers Joy. I remembered my Gran making something that she used all the time to grease pans, casserole dishes etc. and went searching the Net for it. I've used many a can of the above mentioned, but no more! Now I make my own. It works on cookie scoops and especially well on Bundt Pans.

Ingredients

How to Make Pan-Ease

Step-by-Step

  1. Put the three in a jar that has a lid. Mix together. Melting the shortening, adding the oil, then sifting the flour to it as you stir...No lumps...
  2. Use instead of any nonstick sprays for anthing you would normally oil/flour. Just apply with a paper towel or fingers to surface of cooking utensil.
  3. Makes 1 cup. Store in the refrigerator. If it sets up too thick, 10sec or LESS will have it ready. I use a pastry brush.
