I made a lot of different styles of soap this year as gifts. I never have made soap or anything like that before. I found it fun and relaxing.The end product is great and is making some cool looking gift boxes.
In the book I have there are 5 pages of soap ideas and ways to make decortive soaps.
I am going to post the recipe I used for all of my soaps.
Once you make your first soap I think you will be hooked and the ideas will be flowing.

Ingredients

1to2 lbclear glycerin soap.

8 to 12 ozopaque(white or non clear) soap

How to Make basic soap recipe
- soap by the slice, First divide the white soap into 3 equal parts. melt each portion seperately. color each portion as you like. pour into square plastic contianers.Let harden.After it set ups remove from contianer and cut into chunks.set aside.
- Melt the clear soap.Scent the soap with your essential oils at this time. place some of the chunks one half to one third on the bottom of plastic loaf pan. Make sure pan bottom is smooth so you won't have unwanted ridges in your soap.pour in enough to cover chunks let soap harden a little and add the rest of the chunks and pour the rest of the clear soap over them let harden about 3 days ish.Remove from mold and slice into bars.
- you can color the clear soap and use it in molds,or color you white soap and mold it. make small molds of soap and place them in the center of a bigger mold.
