1Walmart prescriptions are 50 to 75% more than your local hometown pharmacies for NON $4/$10 meds. I found this out from calling around to find my mom the best price on prescriptions. Example: my aunt takes a concentrated calcium that runs over $140 a month at Walmart, at our local HealthMart its $69. My husbands pain medication is $75 at Walmart, $28 at HealthMart. Moms seizure meds are $89 at WM and $22 at HM, her cholesterol meds are $38 at WM and $11 at HM. The list goes on and on. My local pharmacist told me that the reason for the HUGE difference in price is to make up for the $4/$10 scripts. We have moms meds filled at both places to get the best savings. The same thing applies to Walgreens, CVS and any other pharms. that offer the $4/$10 scripts
