Ingredients For peanut butter oatmeal cookies (for our beloved 4 legged pals)

  • 3 c
    whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 c
    uncooked rolled oats
  • 2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1 1/2 c
    milk (room temperature)
  • 1 Tbsp
    molasses
  • 1 1/4 c
    creamy peanut butter
  • 1/4 c
    chicken broth

How To Make peanut butter oatmeal cookies (for our beloved 4 legged pals)

    Preheat oven to 375. Position rack in center of oven. Line 2 cookie sheets with parchment paper. In a large bowl, mix flour and oats,add baking powder. In a medium bowl whisk milk, molasses, and peanut butter till smooth. stir in broth. combine the two mixtures,blending until a soft dough ball forms. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and roll out to 1/4 inch thick. Cut out as man cookies as you can, reworking the scraps as you go. Place cookies on sheet pan and bake for 20 to 25 min. edges should be dry and golden brown. Remove from oven and cool at room temp. After cookies have cooled put all the cookies onto one pan and put ba in oven. Leave them without opening overnight or about 8 hours. This will remove any remaing moisture.This is an optional step.
